How to delete your account

Signed in? Go to Account → Delete your account, type DELETE and confirm. In the Eventos Hub app it is Account → Privacy → Delete account. Either way, your account is deleted straight away.

Can't sign in? Message us on WhatsApp or call +91-9521115800, or email hello@eventoshub.com with the subject "Delete my account" and the phone or email you signed up with, so we can check the account is yours.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:

Your user profile (name, email, phone number, profile photo)
Your authentication credentials
Celebrations you own (including all functions, schedules, and settings)
Guest lists and RSVP data for celebrations you own
Photos, videos, chat, updates and wishes in celebrations you own
Your guest entries (name, phone, email, RSVP, travel details) in other hosts' celebrations, found by the email address or phone number on your account
Your place as a co-host in other people's celebrations, and any co-host invites sent to you
Your Find your photos selfies and face signatures, in every celebration
Your name, email address and phone number on your payment receipts
Push notification tokens and preferences

Auto-renew on a plan you bought on our website is switched off first, so you are not charged again. Purchases in the Android and iPhone apps are one-time and never renew. A yearly subscription bought in an earlier version of the Android app renews through Google Play: cancel it in Play Store → Subscriptions.

What is retained

Certain data may be retained after deletion:

Other people's celebrations: photos, chat messages and wishes you added to a celebration you do not own stay with that celebration. Ask its host, or write to us, to have them removed.
Payment records: for each payment, the amount, plan, date, receipt number and payment reference are kept for 8 years, because Indian accounting law requires it. Your name, email address and phone number are removed from them, and nobody can see them in Eventos Hub any more.
Payment providers: Razorpay, Google Play and Apple keep their own records of your payments, as the law requires them to.
Backups: Encrypted backups are purged within 30 days of deletion.

Processing time

In-app deletion happens immediately. Requests sent to us on WhatsApp, phone or email are completed within 7 business days, and we confirm the same way once your account and data are deleted.
