How to send a wedding invitation on WhatsApp
How to send a wedding invitation to every guest on WhatsApp: forwarding, broadcast lists, groups or an official number, and the limits of each.
Sending one invitation is easy. Sending three hundred is where WhatsApp's limits appear, because it is built for personal chats. Here are the ways families do it, and what each one can and cannot do.

Before you send
Get one link ready
Put every function, venue and the RSVP on one page first. A link can stay current when plans change, and a forwarded PDF cannot.
Clean your numbers
Put your guests in one list, with one number for each family, and decide who gets a call or a printed card first.
Write the message
Keep it short, with the guest's name where you can, and the link at the end. Our wedding invitation messages are ready to copy.
Send a test to yourself
Check that the link opens and that its preview shows the right picture before it goes to anyone else.
Your own number, or an official one
Your own WhatsApp
Eventos Hub's official number
- Who it comes from
- Your own WhatsApp: You, which feels personal, and guests already know the number.
- Eventos Hub's official number: The Eventos Hub business number, with your celebration's name in an approved invite message.
- How many at once
- Your own WhatsApp: WhatsApp lets you forward a message to five chats at a time. A broadcast list reaches only people who have saved your number.
- Eventos Hub's official number: Pick guests from your list and send. Your plan's guest limit applies.
- Replies
- Your own WhatsApp: They arrive in your chats, mixed with everything else.
- Eventos Hub's official number: You can read replies to the invite. RSVPs land on your guest list.
- Stopping messages
- Your own WhatsApp: A guest can mute, block or report you.
- Eventos Hub's official number: Replying STOP ends all messages from our number to that phone.
- What it costs
- Your own WhatsApp: Nothing, except your time.
- Eventos Hub's official number: Part of every plan, Starter included.
What WhatsApp's limits mean for you
- Forwarding: five chats at a time, and a message forwarded many times can go to only one chat at a time.
- Broadcast lists: only people who have added you to their contacts get the message, so relatives who never saved your number will not.
- Family groups: quick, and everyone sees each other's replies. Good for close family, not for three hundred guests.
- WhatsApp's guidelines bar repeated unwanted contact and can lead to an account being suspended, so send to people who expect to hear from you, and only send again when you have a reason.
Which way suits you
Under fifty guests, most of whom know you: your own WhatsApp, chat by chat, is the warmest way.
A long list across two families: send from the official number, and message the people who matter most yourself.
Elders: call or visit first, then send the link so the details are at hand.
WhatsApp questions families ask
Is it okay to invite people to a wedding on WhatsApp?
For most guests today, yes, especially friends and relatives far away. Many families still call or visit elders first, and send the link afterwards so that the details are always at hand.
How do I send a wedding invitation to many people on WhatsApp at once?
From your own number you can forward to five chats at a time, or use a broadcast list, which reaches only people who saved your number. From Eventos Hub you can pick guests from your list and send from our official number.
Why does my link show no preview on WhatsApp?
WhatsApp fetches the preview as you paste the link, so wait a moment for the picture to appear before you tap send. On a slow connection it may not appear, though the link still opens.
Should I send a PDF card or a link?
Send the link, and add your card if your family likes one. A PDF cannot change when a time does, and some guests will not download it. The link stays current and takes replies.
