A wedding guest list template for Indian weddings
Download a free wedding guest list template for Excel or Google Sheets, with columns for family, side and plus-ones, and tips for an Indian wedding.
The guest list is where wedding planning usually starts, and where most arguments start too. This sheet has only the columns that matter. Open it in Excel or Google Sheets, with no sign-up needed.

How to build the list
Start with one sheet per family
Each side writes its own list first. Merge them afterwards, and look out for the same relative written two ways.
Use one row per household
Put the person you will contact on each row, and count the rest under plus-ones. This is how invitations really go out in most families.
Get a number for every row
A mobile number now saves you hunting for it the week you send the invitations.
Group people, then decide
Use the group column for family branches, friends and colleagues. It makes it easier to decide who comes to which function.
Download the template
The file is a CSV, which opens in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers. It has two example rows to replace. In Excel, keep it as CSV if you plan to import it later.
Download the guest list templateWhat each column is for
- Name: the person you will contact. This is the only column Eventos Hub needs to import a row.
- Phone: 10 digits, or with +91. Add the country code for a number outside India.
- Email: useful for guests abroad who use email more than WhatsApp.
- Side or relation: such as Family, Friends, or Bride's side.
- Group: a family branch or circle, such as Verma family.
- Plus-ones: how many others are coming with this person.
When the sheet stops being enough
A sheet is good for building a list and poor at tracking replies across functions. If you outgrow it, import the same file into Eventos Hub. Anyone already on your list is skipped, replies land beside each name, and you can download it again with a count for each function.
Who it suits
Families just starting to write down who to invite.
Two sides merging lists, who need the same columns.
Hosts who will send the invitations from a list and want it ready to import.
Guest list questions
Is the template free?
Yes, and you do not need an account to download it. It is a plain CSV file you can keep using on its own.
Does it work in Excel and Google Sheets?
Yes. Excel opens it directly. In Google Sheets, use File, then Import, and choose the file. The file is set up so that Hindi names display correctly in Excel.
Can I import an Excel file directly?
Save it as CSV first, as Eventos Hub imports CSV and text files. The columns can be in any order, with English or Hindi headings.
